Economic Real Estate Report, Heart of London Business Alliance
The Heart of London Business Alliance (HOLBA) have recently published their first Economic Real Estate Report 2023 – 2024.
The report is the result of a year-long project and provides a comprehensive analysis of the ever-evolving real estate landscape within the Heart of London area, one of the most culturally rich in the world, at the centre of the West End and critical to the UK’s heritage.
The world-famous Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus are the epicentre of London’s cinema, theatre and entertainment industry. Piccadilly and St James’s are quintessentially British and home to some of the world’s leading hotels, restaurants and cultural attractions.
St Martin’s is one of London’s oldest parishes, the home of renowned theatres, the inspiration for some of literature’s most recognisable places and the namesake for one of the capital’s most intriguing streets. It is also a critical thoroughfare for Central London, the bridge between Leicester Square and Covent Garden and essential to the proper functioning of London’s West End.
The report highlights the notable resilience and prosperity of the Heart of London area.
The foreword of the report from the Chief Executive Ros Morgan states:
“It is evident that the Heart of London area continues to serve as a significant economic hub, representing a remarkable 33% of the West End’s Gross Value Added (GVA) whilst occupying less than 13% of the total area. The concentration of the economic activity not only highlights the strength of the area’s investment proposition, but also its significance to the national and global economy.”
Gascoyne Estates own a number of properties within the Heart of London area and our Estate Director for the London estate, Adam Wiles, is the current HOLBA Chair.
